5 Self-Care Tips You Can do Right Now
We spend so much time worrying about life’s daily stressors that we forget to take care of ourselves, sometimes. It is important to make sure you don’t neglect yourself because YOU ARE IMPORTANT and self-care isn’t selfish.
Here are 5 tips you can use to start taking care of yourself today!
1. Quiet Your Thoughts
Turn on some white noise (or spa music) on your phone or computer; you can do this on YouTube (check out these channels: Soothing Relaxation and PowerThoughts Meditation), Spotify, or any other streaming service you use. Find a quiet corner where you can close your eyes and be still in the moment for at least 20 minutes
2. Take a Warm Bath & Relax
Can you think of the number of times you have taken a bath in the last 3 months? If you haven’t made the time, please do so! You will feel so much more relaxed once you do. Just add some oils into your bath and surround yourself with candles (as long as it is safe!) and play some music (a little Michael Bublé, maybe?)
3. Dance!
Have you noticed you feel instantly better after you dance? Create a playlist with all of your favorite songs and then dance for at least 5-10 minutes
4. Color
You don’t need a coloring book, you can print free pages online through Crayola’s website here. If you would rather use your phone or tablet, you can download a coloring app. An app called Happy Color on android is an amazing option
5. Look at the Bright Side
Think back on your day and write down 3 positive things that happened during your day and write why it highlighted your day
